Dear berk..

If you can't spell "money" and "wanted" and "simple" and "apparently" and "insecure" and "especially" and "seems" and "huck" .. HUCK??? .. and "want" and "wouldn't" and "answer" and apologies" and "something" then perhaps you shouldn't go straight to an "adult" book series like dragonlance first of all.

perhaps you should go to http://www.tbabooks.com and examine the books there.

also, you might try http://www.copyrightservice.co.uk/copyright/intellectual_property.htm that kinda clearly defines the moderately illegal request you made of us.

Yes, you asked a simple question. I doubt you could come up with a complex one, to be honest. Your simple question, however, could get you in a moderate amount of trouble. You are asking, nay, inviting us to join with you and participate in an illegal activity, to actively partake in a copyright violation of not one, not two, but around 140 novel copyrights.

Join with me, if you will, in our quest to examine just what you asked of us. Today's (admittedly horrific and overpriced since wizard$ of the coa$t took over and redesigned the dragonlance rpg series TWICE) off the shelf prices are about 5 quid for an average book and about 6/7 quid for a larger paperback.

(sigh. I have a copy of "The crystal shard" of Forgotten Realms from the 80s that cost 1.99. Same paper, same ink. Just more greed and fatcat wages. Pitiful, eh?)

140 novels. say they're averaging 6 quid a pop. thats about 840 quid.

You were inviting us to participate in a scheme that would cost
1) the author's
2) the moneygrabbing wotc
3) the printers
4) the deliverers
5) the retailers
Eight hundred and forty pounds.

If all we've done is seem to attack you, it might be because you've insulted us, the readers, and done your level best to rub your illegal activities in the authors' faces who do indeed read this newsgroup.

Far from being insecure, we are somewhat offended that, although we have been paying through the nose for wotc's godforsaken policy of sticking books out in hardback for 6 months or so first, you seem to have taken it upon yourself to rub it in our faces that you intend to get the entire lot for free.

Insecure? No. Pis*ed off at your insensitivity to the authors, your lack of spelling skills and your stupidity would be more to the point.

Finally, I apologize sincerely for using so many large words in this rant to you but I, unlike you, appear to have a grasp of English.
