Dragonlance Ponies
Hasbro and its subsidiary Wizards of the Coast are planning to revolutionize the toy market with their newest release! Fans of My Little Pony(R), popular in the 80s, can expect to see Hasbro's newest batch of ponies, while Dragonlance(R) fans can expect to buy never-seen-before Dragonlance(R) dolls, of popular characters from the novels published by Wizards of the Coast! The toys will be be targeted toward girls aged 5-10 and Dragonlance completists who might be wishing to get in touch with their feminine side or lost childhoods. Dragonlance readership amongst young children is expected to experience a tremendous boost. Television commercials will commence in May on the Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network channels.

Tanis "Heart Throb" Half-Elven
Heart Throb is the leader of the Dragonlance ponies! Brave and sensitive, he loves two other ponies but cannot choose between them. This passionate pony with red hair has two hearts on his rump to symbolize his two lady loves.
Raistlin "Rose Petals" Majere
Rose Petals is studying to become the best magician pony on Krynn! He has a twin brother, only Rose Petals has gold skin, white hair and hourglass eyes because of a curse. The other ponies are suspicious of him. Can he break the curse one day?
Caramon "Warrior Dreams" Majere
Warrior Dreams is the more popular twin brother of Rose Petals. He's on his way to becoming a good fighter pony, and is a strong and loyal friend. The shield and sword on his rump show his stout fighting prowess!
Sturm "Rainy Day" Brightblade
Rainy Day is Heart Throb's best friend, and the most serious pony of the lot. Rainy Day wants to be a knight like his father. He loves Princess Alhana, but has a long face because he cannot be with the pony princess. The symbol of clouds with rain drops on his rump shows his sadness.
Tasslehoff "Pretty Pouches" Burrfoot
Don't let this pony out of your sight! Pretty Pockets is the most energetic and playful of all the ponies, and he gets on the other ponies' nerves sometimes. He is smaller than the others, but that makes him good at hiding when he's in trouble!
Flint "Sweet Grumbles" Fireforge
Sweet Grumbles is Pretty Pockets' best friend! The two are always together, with Sweet Grumbles wishing Pretty Pockets would behave! Sweet Grumbles is gruff on the outside, but soft-hearted beneath, and he's always there to help his pony friends! He's the oldest of the ponies and that's why he has white in his hair!

Laurana, "Princess of Hearts"
Beautilful Princess Laurana is in love with Heart Throb! It's too sad Heart Throb doesn't know whether he loves her back. Laurana's love is eternal and is captured in the heart-shaped jewel on her rump. The princess with honey-colored hair will wait for Heart Throb forever...
Alhana, "Princess of Stars"
The lady love of Rainy Day! With her white body, deep purple hair and glitter, it's no wonder she captured the pony knight's heart. The eight-pointed starjewel on her rump glimmers with love! (DLU's note: Gag us with a spoon...)
Kitiara, "Princess of Darkness"
(DLU's note: Look! She's horny!) Kitiara's jewel symbol is that of a boot. The other ponies don't like this unicorn very much, thinking her pushy and wily. However, Heart Throb is devoted to her, and this gutsy unicorn isn't letting the others get her down! (DLU's note: Unless there's a comfy bed around...)

Baby Palin
Baby Palin has magical stars on his rump, because he wants to follow his uncle Rose Petals' hoofsteps on the path of magic. But will his father, Warrior Dreams, let him?
Baby Usha
Who is Baby Usha's father? Is it Rose Petals? Her parentage is unknown, which is why Baby Usha has a question mark on her rump! (DLU's note: It might also be there to symbolize her questionable IQ in DoSF...) Baby Usha is Baby Palin's close friend and playmate...but are the two baby ponies too naughty to play together?

Baby Tanis
In conjunction with Nancy Varian Berberick's new book, The Inheritance, which tells the story of Tanis' parents, Hasbro is releasing a Tanis "Heart Throb" Half-elven as a baby pony too! As more books are published about the conceptions of the Heroes of the Lance, expect to see more baby ponies of your favorite heroes! (Raistlynn's note: Yay! They're soooo cute!)
ADDTIONAL INFO FROM HASBRO'S PRESS RELEASE
Hasbro said that due to popular demand, these Dragonlance ponies used the pony molds from the 1980s and not the newer molds from the 1997 re-release. These ponies were also designed to satisfy Dragonlance fans who had clamored for more Heroes of the Lance miniatures and figurines. More ponies, like Goldmoon, Riverwind, Bupu, Mina and more children of the Heroes are slated to be released in Spring 2002.
Dragonlance Ponies will be available in all good toy stores Summer 2001.
