Lord of the Rings is a DL Ripoff! (AGAIN???)
Over the past few months, some people have been in an uproar over the letter we published that said that Lord of the Rings was a rip-off of Dragonlance. And to show you what other fans have been saying, we're going to display some of the e-mails we have received.
Hey, i just wanted to let you all no how great it was that Jeff fellow had the balls to come out and say what were all thinking, ya. DL kicks ass and nobody can rip it off and get away with it. Whats next a movie ripping off Tas?

How can you guys allow some little brat of a kid say such things about Dragonlance and Lord of the Rings? Everybody knows that Arwen is supposed to be Alhanna, NOT Laurana. Besides, Laurana is so much cooler than Eowen anyways.

Its obvious that Dragonlance is so much better than that Lord of the Rings thing! How many books were written for that movie? Three? That's it??? Dragonlance did twice that amount for their main story! And it was so much better because it even came out with a hundred times more books!

And as we all know, quantity over quality. If you can't win them with good writing, drown them with paper.
I think Tolkien had latent homosexual tendencies. Why are all his major characters male? At least there's nothing questionable in Dragonlance. Raistlin himself is the epitome of manliness!

That being said, I think we've definitely proven that a very large percentage of our readers have no sense of humor. This is quite baffling, given that our site centers around satire. What are they expecting when they come here? Serious Dragonlance information? From the people who brought you the The Auto Bard, Dragonlance Dolls, and Dalamar the Dork, as well as a multitude of other outrageously funny and insane articles, I don't think we could write a serious piece if we tried. And I don't think any of us really want to try. Making fun of things is much more entertaining.
