Who Could Be Krynn's Santa Claus?
While each race has their beliefs in Santa Claus, he does not exist on Krynn as we know him. However, the possibilities of who could pull off the job of jolly Saint Nick are certainly interesting to say the least.
Fizban
Fizban is already an old man with a flowing, white beard. He is well known and respected across Krynn by many races. And the ability to land in a pile of chicken feathers after entering a chimney doesn't hurt. He isn't fat, nor is he particularly jolly, but if you stuff his suit with those feathers and he could probably pull it off.
Soth
Ok, let's face it - Soth would make a horrible Santa. But, he has enough skeletal warriors to substitute for Santa's reindeer to pull the sleigh! Also consider that Power Word Kill never hurts to keep children in line either. Sure, everybody would make his "Naughty List", but that's not really the point, is it?
Flint
Flint would make a perfect Santa save for two, significant flaws: He's a dwarf and he has a personality that makes the Tower Guardian seem absolutely pleasant. Santa is a jolly man, while Flint takes longer to warm up to somebody than a frosty tankard of ale.
Tas
As a Santa, Tas would be just as likely to take presents, as he would be to leave them behind. Yet, Tas is the only one that could quietly move in and out of houses, not alerting children to his presence - an advantage to be sure. Plus, Kender in general are jolly enough.
Gunthar
A fatherly figure that commands great respect, dress him up in the famous hat and suit, whiten the beard, and he won't even need reindeer and a sleigh when he has dragons at his beckoning! The ability to take down a wild boar when you're well over ninety years old is a definite plus on the resume as well for climbing down chimneys and all that other nonsense!
