Writing Dragonlance (WD)
Many Dragonlance fans love to write their own fiction and gaming material set in their favorite world. Where do you fit in?

WD+++	I am Margaret Weis, or, I am Tracy Hickman.
WD++	I've written a Dragonlance bestseller.
WD+	I've written a Dragonlance book, article or short story that was published by TSR/WotC.

alt.fan.dragonlance (AFDL)
One common forum for Dragonlance fans is the usenet newsgroup alt.fan.dragonlance. What do you think of afdl?

AFDL+++	Not only do I read and post often—I remember the original threads about Raistlin being a woman, Lord Soth being a potted plant and Tanis being bi.
AFDL++	I read AFDL and post occasionally, but not as much as I used to.
AFDL+	I often read afdl but I do not participate in the conversations.
AFDL	Brand spanking new to afdl, and I love it.
AFDL-	I don't really care for alt.fan.dragonlance.
AFDL--	What the hell is alt.fan.dragonlance?
AFDL---	What the hell is usenet?

Status on alt.fan.dragonlance (SAFDL)
Alt.fan.dragonlance has been around a number of years, and some older members have been given the name of "dinos". Are you a dino?

SAFDL+++	I am Granak Red-Silver—I was there in the beginning, and I will be there till the end!
SAFDL++	I remember when Stig was Fizban, and established dinos refer to me as a dino.
SAFDL+	I've been lurking there for years, and if anybody remembers me I'd be a dino.
SAFDL	Been around awhile, starting to fossilize.
SAFDL-	I just hatched, thank you very much!
SAFDL--	I don't really care for alt.fan.dragonlance.

Dragonlance IRC (DLIRC)
Another important way for Dragonlance fans to communicate is through IRC. Currently there is a #krynn in the undernet, but there have been other channels such as #dragonlance, #hylo, and #threemoonsinn on many other IRC servers. Have you ever used IRC to communicate with other Dragonlance fans?

Dragonlance on the Web (DLW)
The World Wide Web is full of Dragonlance information, how well do you know Dragonlance on the web?

DLW++	I've seen it all! I even remember Magius' Dragonlance site and Dragonlands!
DLW+	Been around awhile and I've seen a bunch of pages.
DLW	There is a lot of crap out there, but some real gems too.
DLW-	What? There is other stuff besides Dragonlance.com?
DLW--	There's Dragonlance stuff on the web??

DRAGONLANCE-ML (DLML)
The Dragonlance mailing list is another very popular way for fans to communicate. Do you use theDragonlance-ML?

DLML++	I maintain the Dragonlance mailing list.
DLML+	I regularly post to DL-ML.
DLML	I don't have the time to reply but I read DL-ML.
DLML-	I'm too lazy to subscribe to DL-ML.

Kender (KE)
With many Dragonlance fans, there seems to be a love-hate relationship with kender. What do you think of kender?

KE++	I'm going to name my first-born child Tasslehoff!
KE+	I find kender to be really funny and enjoy reading about them.
KE	I don't really care one way or another; Kender are a part of dragonlance already and there is nothing that can be done about it.
KE-	I'm not a huge fan of them.
KE--	Kender piss me off. Who needs the damn hobbit rip-offs anyway?
KE---	Gimme an uzi. I'm gonna kill those thieving bastards.

Dragonlance Computer Games (DLCG)
There have been numerous Dragonlance computer games in the past. What did you think of them?

DLCG+	I loved them and beat all of them!
DLCG	I was a fan of them.
DLCG-	The games were all pretty much were the same. I got bored pretty quick.
DLCG--	There are Dragonlance computer games??

Dragonlance Role Playing (DLRP)
Have you ever role-played in the Dragonlance setting?

DLRP++	I was on the original development team for the Dragonlance modules.
DLRP+	I have DM'd Dragonlance before.
DLRP	I've played in a Dragonlance campaign before.
DLRP-	Never have but I would love to!
DLRP--	Dragonlance should be read, not played!

5th Age, the Age of Mortals (AOM)
By far the largest controversy in the history of Dragonlance is the 5th age of Dragonlance, the Age of Mortals. What is your opinion of the Age of Mortals?

AOM++	The 5th Age rocked—it rejuvenated a dying game world!
AOM+	It looked promising, though there were some details I didn't like. It still looks promising...
AOM	The 5th Age is canon. My opinion does not matter.
AOM-	I was excited by 5th Age, but that balloon deflated quickly.
AOM--	It was the worst thing since Vanilla Ice, What were they smoking anyway?

What is canon to you? (CAN)
As a result of the deluge of RPG supplements, novels, comics, graphic novels, a continuing debate in the Dragonlance community is what is considered Canon, or the Gospel Truth in Dragonlance. Choose here what you think is canon in Dragonlance.

CAN++	All of it is canon; every single bit of it happened and fits. (There is no canon.)
CAN+	If Weis and Hickmen wrote it, it is canon.
CAN	It depends.
CAN-	The role playing books are canon and that's it.
CAN--	Canon? Only three things are canon: Raistlin is a woman, Lord Soth is a Potted Plant and Tanis is bisexual.

Lord Soth in Ravenloft (LSR)
Lord Soth is yet ANOTHER point of controversy for Dragonlance fans. When TSR decided to introduce him into Ravenloft, it angered many fans. What do you think about it?

LSR+	Soth is in Ravenloft. I always liked Ravenloft better anyways.
LSR	Whatever tells the best story.
LSR-	Screw T$R or WotC, Hickman said he never left!

Raistlin vs. Drizzt (RVD)
It's munchkin vs. munchkin! Who would win in a fight between Raistlin and Drizzt Do'Urden from the Forgotten Realms novels?

RVD++	Raistlin would kick Drizzt's ass in a heartbeat! He almost became a god! What has that pansy ass elf done?
RVD+	Tough fight! But Raistlin will win!
RVD	Undecided, they are both masters of their crafts. It would be a good fight, however.
RVD-	Drizzt would whip Raistlin without batting an eyelid. He is magic-resistant, the BEST fighter in FR, and has that magical cat…
RVD--	Who gives a damn? Grow up, fanboy.

Is Raistlin a Woman? (RW)
An old theory states that Raistlin was actually born a woman, but that he had to keep it secret. What is your opinion?

RW++	I am Stig, it was all my idea. HAHAHAHAHA!
RW+	I love when the theory was posted on alt.fan.dragonlance—the thread did not die for six months! Raistlin is a woman as long as it gets under the skins of all the Raistlin fanboys!
RW	I find it an interesting idea. Much like the theory that in the Sherlock Homes books, Dr. Watson was a woman. Fun, but I think of it as nothing more than an intellectual exercise.
RW-	Tracy Hickman himself said Raistlin was a man, so it can't be true.
RW--	HOW DARE YOU CALL RAISTLIN A WOMAN!@!!! I'LL KILL YOU HOMOS FOR THAT!

Is Raistlin Evil? (RE)
Some people think that Raistlin was misunderstood and in actuality was not an evil person. He was simply a product of his horrible childhood. What do you think?

RE++	Raistlin is Satan himself!
RE+	While Raistlin is a product of his childhood, Tanis had just as difficult or worse of a childhood and he did nothing like Raistlin. Raistlin chose the black robes. He was E-VIL, no doubt about it.
RE	Raistlin was really neutral but choose the black robes as a faster means to gain power.
RE-	Alignment is a myth of perception. No one is uniformly good or evil, and Raistlin is no different.
RE--	Raistlin was absolutely not an evil person, no one understands him like I do! :-(
